A European commuter e-bike OEM approached us with a service-life problem: their 750 W mid-drive bikes were seeing chain replacement at 3,500 km on average, driving warranty cost up and brand reputation down.
We migrated the drivetrain to an AT10-1200-25 PU belt with multi-strand steel cord. The swap cut drivetrain noise by 6 dB and — more importantly for the customer — extended the average service interval from 3,500 km to 4,500 km, a 30 % improvement.
Two years after the rollout, the customer has rolled the change out across the entire 750 W commuter line. They are now evaluating the same migration for their 250 W city model.
